Nowhere To Go But Up! – Apprenticeship Weeks 11, 12 & 13

To keep up the tradition of including a photo I took, here’s a cool lake I found while on a road trip. It’s been three weeks since my last post. Is there a good reason for that? Yes and no. I have been extraordinarily busy recently (you’ll see why later in this post), but I’ve also just been procrastinating. With each week, I feel like there’s less and less to write about, even though I…

Stayin’ Alive – Apprenticeship Weeks 7 & 8

Unfortunately, I’ve reached the point where writing these updates feel like homework. I missed last week’s post, but hey, better late than never, right? These past two weeks have been insane, which is quite the contrast from my last post about having a “3-day work week”. There were two main events that defined these past weeks. First, I got to attend the 2019 Growth Marketers Conference at the Fairmont Hotel. Not only did I have…

Three Day Work-Week – Apprenticeship Week 6

I actually only worked for three days this week: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thanksgiving was on Thursday, and my boss decided to let us have Friday off, which means we had a 4-day weekend. It was interesting having more days-off then work-days. I’ll admit it was a bit refreshing, but it definitely isn’t something I’d want to get used to. Some people hate their jobs so much that weekends become their only “happy days”, so…

Less Hand Holding – Apprenticeship Weeks 4 & 5

I’ve probably started every post this way, but it was yet another busy week. Actually, I skipped writing last week’s post, so I guess it’s been a busy two weeks… Oops! It’s amusing to me how quickly my definition of the word “busy” has changed. In the past, I would use the phrase “I’m busy” when I didn’t really feel like ‘going out’. Now that I actually want to ‘go out’, I simply can’t because…

Filling My Plate – Apprenticeship Week 3

It was yet another busy week for me. However, unlike last week, it was definitely more of a “chaotic” kind of busy. Every other day of the week, I was given some sort of reoccurring task or responsibility that I need to look after. This is obviously a good thing when it comes to my progress within the company, but I’m starting to learn my limits. Exciting! Before I get into the problem (and my…

Getting Settled In – Apprenticeship Week 2

It was another busy week for me. However, it was definitely a “predictable” busy and not “chaotic” busy, which is nice. Anyways, today, I moved out of my temporary Airbnb and into my semi-permanent residence. I feel like I got a good deal on the rent, however, it’s a little over an hour’s commute to work, so there are definitely pros and cons. It’s been two weeks, and I’m happy to say that I still…

How I Created A Successful Dropshipping Store on My First Try

When I sold my dropshipping store in 2017, I wrote an email to the buyer with advice on how to grow on the success I had built. Today, looking back at that email, I can see that there was actually no reply, and the store died shortly after I sold it. Since I don’t want to see this story and valuable advice go to waste, I thought I’d post a copy of that email to…
